2026 Juneteenth Artwork Contest
2026 Juneteenth Artwork Contest
As part of the 2026 Juneteenth Celebration at Sylvan Park, the City of Redlands invites the community to take part in our artwork contest. There are two separate ways to participate, each with its own purpose — please read carefully.
1. On-site Logo Contest — ages 17 & under (day of the event)
Young artists are invited to design the official logo for the 2026 Juneteenth Celebration. Visit the artwork activity area at Sylvan Park on Saturday, June 20, 2026 (adjacent to the A.K. Smiley Public Library, near the Gloria Birdwell display) to create and submit original artwork on-site, facilitated by City Recreation staff. The selected design will become the official 2026 Juneteenth logo and will be used on promotional materials, marketing, and event branding. The winning logo will be announced at a later date, helping kick off promotion for the upcoming Juneteenth Celebration.
2. Online Artwork Submission — all ages (after the event)
Open to community members of all ages. Submit original artwork of any kind — drawings, paintings, digital art, mixed media, and more. This category is for 2026 event marketing materials only — it is not the logo contest. Selected pieces may be featured across the City’s Juneteenth promotion and communications for 2026.
- Open to all ages; original artwork only.
- Any medium — drawing, painting, digital, mixed media, etc.
- Accepted file formats: JPG, PNG, or high-resolution PDF.
- Include the artist’s name, age, and a contact email.
- Submission deadline: Saturday, June 20, 2026, 3:00 PM.
- Selected winners will be contacted by email.
