Pickleball

Pickleball is a popular paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It is played on a court with similar dimensions to a doubles badminton court, and the game involves hitting a plastic ball with a paddle over a net. Pickleball can be played in singles or doubles and is known for its friendly and social nature, making it suitable for players of all ages and skill levels. It’s a fantastic way to stay active, enjoy friendly competition, and connect with others in a fun and engaging setting.

Flores Senior Center Pickleball Courts

Pickleball courts are located at the Flores Senior Center, 111 W. Lugonia Avenue. Enter either from Clay Street or through the building entrance on Washington Street.

Our newly established facility includes 8 lighted pickleball courts. Access to a shaded sitting area, indoor restrooms, and equipment is available during Gonzales Community/Flores Senior Center operating hours.

Open Play

Open play is available at the following times at a first come first served basis. Equipment may be checked out at the Community/Senior Center’s front desk.

Mondays: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Tuesdays: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Wednesdays: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Thursdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Fridays: 12:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Saturdays: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Sundays: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Courtyard and Restroom Hours:
Mondays – Fridays: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Courtyard Only)

Summer Update: Early Pickleball Hours

To support summer play, two important updates go into effect this week:

Early Court Access (July 7–Sept 28):
Pickleball Courts will open daily at 6:30 a.m., Monday through Sunday, through the summer.
Furniture will be unlocked at 7:30 a.m.
Closing times remain:

Mon–Fri: 8:30 p.m.
Saturday: 3:30 p.m.
Sunday: 4:00 p.m.
