Hillside Memorial Park was established in 1886 by local pioneers Frank Brown and Edward Judson to serve the needs of the community of Redlands. Hillside Memorial Park has been owned and operated by the City of Redlands since 1918. The cemetery is located in the southwestern section of the City in an area of scenic rolling hills. Our cemetery grounds have an approximate 53 acres making Hillside Memorial Park the largest city-owned cemetery in California. Of those 53 acres there are 13 acres that are left undeveloped and available for future cemetery development projects.

Cemetery Grounds Visiting Hours

The main gates on Alessandro Road automatically open at 7:00 am and close at 7:00 pm. We ask all visitors to exit the cemetery grounds before the gate closure time as the cemetery grounds are closed to the public as of that time. The gates on Sunset Drive near the cemetery office are manually opened and closed by the cemetery maintenance staff while staff is on site.

Whatever your wishes may be, there is something that will meet your family needs at Hillside Memorial Park. Pre-need arrangements can be made in our office.

Traditional ground burial spaces are available for in the newer south end of the cemetery. Few spaces remain available for sale in the historic north end of the cemetery.

For families that prefer an above ground-resting place we offer available crypts in our Hillside Mausoleum.

With cremation services becoming increasingly popular, we offer various options for families to choose from. Option include glass-front niches in the historic Redlands Mausoleum, exterior granite front niches in the Serenity Garden, in-ground burials and benches.
