SWAC Art Summer Camp For Kids
The Studio Works Arts Collective (SWAC) Art Studio Camp for Kids is a creative summer program held at the Carriage House in Prospect Park, designed for elementary-age artists ages 9 to 12. This program focuses on developing visual art skills through daily lessons in drawing, painting, and mixed media, while providing an “Open Studio” environment where students receive individualized guidance on their own unique projects.

SWAC Art Studio Camp for Kids (Week 1: Drawing Skills)
The SWAC Art Camp for Kids is open to children, ages 9-12
(elementary students), who are developing as visual artists. A
variety of art materials are included for visual artists to explore and
include in their art projects.
Each day of camp, we will provide an artist lesson of the day
(Week One focuses on “Drawing Skills”). The rest of the time is
spent in the art studio working on their individual projects.
Facilitators assist kids in developing an Artist’s Plan. This involves
brainstorming interests and ideas in order to decide what project(s)
they will work on that day. We revisit plans regularly in order to
reflect and make changes as needed. During Open Studio time,
children receive individualized micro-lessons and tips, get support
turning “mistakes” into opportunities, and/or receive guidance on
how to work through moments of self-doubt.
Please direct any questions you may have to (909)644-5686 or

(Note: 12 year old kids who are in elementary school tend to be a
good fit in the Kids’ art camp. However, 12 year olds can attend
either the Kids’ art camp or the Teens’ art camp. It’s entirely up to
the parent.)

Dates: Jun 29, 2026 – Jul 3, 2026
Time: Weekdays, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
